Dr. Mercola Pure Power Protein review

I've tried lots of protein powders and this is the only one that actually tastes good to me, and if you're going to lift weights you need to find a great protein powder!  Therefore I'm dedicating my first review post to Dr. Mercola's Pure Power Protein powder.

I understand that Dr. Mercola is a somewhat controversial figure.  I like him for the most part but I'm by no means a die-hard fan.   This is the only Mercola product I've ever bought- I received my first jug as a Christmas present and got hooked.  I've tried his Miracle Whey and it's gross!

 But this stuff:

Dr. Mercola Pure Power Protein

Awesome!  I've been drinking it almost every day for months now for breakfast and after lifting weights.

I like this product because it doesn't have artificial sweeteners, no fructose, no sucralose, and no soy all of which I try to avoid as much as possible, but has probiotics and chia seeds added.  It's made with whey concentrate and not whey isolate so the protein count is lower but it's less processed and has more protein isolates intact.

This whey protein powder is organic and uses milk from grass-fed cows. It is tasty and sweet (sweetened with organic sweet whey and maltodextrin) but not too sweet, just right in my opinion.  I've tried the chocolate and the vanilla flavors, the vanilla is much better and mixes with coconut milk and frozen berries divinely!

My boyfriend has been into body building for years and he has tried many whey powders and he said this product is good but was unimpressed with the protein gram count (compared to his Optimum Nutrition whey isolates) and said it is too expensive for 2 little pounds, however to me it is well worth it.

You can get a better deal if you use the autoship method (10% discount) from the product site and scrounge for coupon codes.  I can get 3 shipped for under $100 and you get a bonus blender ball:

I go through this stuff fast, I'm on the 3-pack vanillas delivered every 2 months.

What is your favorite brand of whey protein?
